What are the best home builders in NSW, Australia?
My parents are planning on building a house, but we don't know which builder is the best. We have heard negative reviews on some builders Eden Brae, Clarendon, etc. so my parents and I don't know which builder to start with. Thanks for anyone who helps.

Why are home builders saying they are purposefully designing cracks into basement foundations?
I'm wanting to purchase a home and builders plus my real estate agent have said that contractors are designing basements with a few cracks on purpose? Is this for a certain reason or are they lying just to get a sale?

Modular homes and trailors?Question for home builders or someone in the know?
What is the difference in a double wide and a typical modular home.I install floor covering and have worked in both a number of times and I honestly don't see a difference in the quality and design.The bathrooms appear to be identical.My sister and her husband just bought a modular and she said that the person she bought it from said there were structurally quite a few differences but I don't really believe it.I guess the foundation is different but what else?

Is the new home builder offering me a good deal?I'm dealing with a Home Builder and they are offering me just over $20,000 in discounts plus help with closing costs which according to them would push the discounts up to $27,000$20,000 off of the purchase price of the house and they would pay up to about $7,000 in my closing costs.The house was originally $250,000 and after the discounts, it drops the price down to $230,000Can the builder do more then this?What is the 'norm' in this day and age for home builders to give to buyers?I am going to be putting down a good amount of $$ on this house as well so my interest rate should be pretty good not that probably has anything to do with it.I never dealt with a new home builder before so any help or ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
