Hi I am 31 year old female and looking to buy a small hair salon in Calgary. The seller is asking $150,000. We have $25,000 for a down payment. The seller is welling to take payments on $50,000 over 2 years. So we only really need a lone for $100,000. But we are looking for places to go for financing. We are doing up a business plan right now and are having our accountant have a look at the books. The business has about $140,000 wroth of assets. We are selling our house so we can move to Calgary. We most likely well not make any thing off the sale of our house. And we dont own any other property or assets.
Business loan.. am i wasting my time?
Ok.. I have poor credit history due to having some CCJ's in the past from the inland revenue. these are now settled but will be on my credit report until 2014.I don't have any loans, never had a credit card no HP nothing. The pie chart on my " check my file" credit report shows my current debts as 99.99 % mortgages 253,000 two houses and 0.01 % 'other' which is 55 ongoing mobile phone contract. yet still my credit score is 186 out of 1000.I currently earn around 2 3000 per month sometimes more which gets paid straight into my natwest business account via BAC Transfer.So anyway... i went in for a loan as i need to buy some equipment, the equipment is 40k and i have 25k of my own money to pay towards it. The bank says they cant do anything atm as " computer says no" they then said do i have a business plan? I said 'no but i have 50k of work lined up for this machine' plus i 100 % guarantee i can get about 300k of work in the next 12 months. But still they said no.So if i was to spend all day making a business plan do you think this would help? I cant see how a stack of papers guessing how much money i will make is going to help? If so anyone could just say hello Mr banker here is my business plan and im going to earn 10 million pounds in yr 1. 12 billion in yr 2 and i will be buying Microsoft in yr 3.. how do i know that u ask? well.... it say so in my 20 page business plan.. I have a great investment idea that is at LEAST guaranteed money back. but could overturn great profits. will Banks give me a large loan 1.5m If they are on board, have control and have PROOF that they will at least get their money back and interest? The investments are going into assets, so if it doesn't work out they are left with all the assets their money bought, Which will be worth more once time too sell. My Issue is i Have nothing, i don't make much money so to save that kind of money is ridiculous. But i know i could make tons of cash of of this.
